Morgan had speed to burn, bursting onto the prep track scene as a sophomore for Eastmont High School with a 4th place 100 meter dash finish at the Washington state 3A track championships. From then on, she dominated in the 100 and 300 hurdles with two consecutive state titles in both events including times of :11.9 and :42.75 respectively. Morgan also won numerous regional and district championships in those events as well as in the long jump.

In addition to track exploits, she was an outstanding soccer player who received first team all-Mid-Valley League berths as a forward both her junior and senior years as well as second team all-league as a sophomore. Morgan was also selected as honorable mention 3A all-state following the 2006 season.

She was the North Central Washington High School Female Athlete of the Year in both 2007 and 2008, and was a Finalist for the award three times.

While competing for the Washington State University track team, she finished 11th at the Pac-12 Championships in the 100 hurdles (:13.97). Morgan also ran the 100, 200, and 400 hurdles for the Cougars. She was a finalist for North Central Washington College Female Athete of the Year twice.
