||Ann Sullivan was the fastest female hurdler in North Central Washington history for Omak High School when she graduated in 2000. In all, she earned a dozen state titles in the 2A classification during her prep years while setting numerous records. Among her impressive times were 14.19 seconds in the 100 hurdles to break the State 2A meet record, 43.4 in the 300 hurdles, 12.21 in the 100 meters and 25.4 in the 200 meters. She also long jumped 17-9 1/2.
Ann was immediately a productive member of the University of Oregon track team as a freshman hurdler. She ran the 100 hurdles in 14.0 seconds and competed in the Pac-10 Championships in that event. She also finished as high as 6th at the Pac-10 Championships in the heptathlon before injuries sidelined her as a junior.
She was recognized as the NCW Sports Awards High School Female Athlete-of-the-Year in both 1999 and 2000.
