Wenatchee High School Athletic Hall of Fame

Eric Kuntz
CLASS of 1976 Baseball, Football and Basketball ATHLETE
Eric's domain was on the baseball mound as a pitcher for the Panthers. From there he set Wenatchee High records for most career wins with 24, most single season wins, most season strikeouts and most career innings pitched. Eric was selected to the "All-Big Nine" squad as a junior and senior. The WHS team captain was honored by earning an "All-State" team berth as a pitcher after his senior season.

On the gridiron, he used his powerful leg to secure a spot on the "All-Big Nine" team as a punter. Eric was also a member of the basketball team for two seasons. In all, he earned seven varsity letters.

Drafted initially by the Oakland A's, Eric elected to take the mound for Big Bend College, instead, where he earned "All-Conference" honors. He was then drafted by the New York Mets and played in the Minor Leagues.
