The league will be divided into two conferences, Angus and Charbray, with makeup determined by blind draw on draft night. BSFL teams will play an 12 game regular season schedule with conference and inter-conference games counting in the standings. Ties in conference standings will be broken according to the following: 1) most total points scored both offensively and defensively by starters; 2) most head-to-head points scored; and 3) best record (winning percentage) against conference opponents. The 13th week of play will consist of two championship series semifinals (#1: 1st place Angus Conference v 2nd place Charbray Conference; #2: 2nd place Angus v 1st place Charbray) and two consolation series semifinals (#1: 3rd place Angus v 4th place Charbray; #2: 4th place Angus v 3rd place Charbray). If the league consists of ten teams, the two conference 5th place teams will play two Hamburger Bowl games with 7th place determined by: 1) the winner of both games; and if split, 2) the most total points scored in the two games. The 13th week of play will consist of the BSFL Bowl Round: Tenderloin Bowl XXXII (determines 1st & 2nd), Porterhouse Bowl XXXII (determines 3rd & 4th), Sirloin Bowl XXXI (determines 5th & 6th), Chuck Bowl XXVII (determines 7th & 8th) except if the league only has eight teams which would eliminate the Chuck Bowl, and the second game of Hamburger Series XXXII except in the case of eight teams when the two losers in the consolation playoff semifinals would meet in a one game Hamburger Bowl XXXII.

BSFL Fees In keeping with the NFL's addition of a game to the regular season schedule, the BSFL will add a 12th game to the regular season and, including two post-season playoff contests, will compete for a total of 14.

FRANCHISE FEE: $530 (includes *weekly head-to-head side-bet fee of $15 for 13 non-bowl games)

*WEEKLY Head-to-Head SIDE-BET: $30 (based on 12 week regular season plus 13th week playoff round, and paid at end of season)
ROSTER CHANGES: $6 for each player dropped (same as last year)

Team Draft Rosters will be made up of the following positions -
2 - Quarterbacks
4 - Running Backs
4 - Receivers
5 - Defenders (at least 2 defensive backs)
2 - Placekickers
No players may be frozen from year-to-year. Draft order will be determined by drawing from 10 (or 8) cards with lowest number going first. Order will be reversed for second round. A new draw will occur for each odd numbered round, with reverse order in even numbered rounds. Players of any position may be selected in any round.

Game Lineups Team scoring will be determined by performances from either of two starting lineup optiions as submitted each week by franchise owner -
PRO SET formation:
1 - Quarterback;
2 - Running Backs;
3 - Receivers;
4 - Defenders (at least 1 must be a defensive back);
1 - Placekicker

SPREAD formation:
1 - Quarterback;
1 - Running Backs;
4 - Receivers;
4 - Defenders (at least 1 must be a defensive back);
1 - Placekicker

Weekly lineups can be submitted up until game time through the league website on myfantasyleague.com. If a lineup is not submitted, the previous week's squad will be used.

Roster Change The transaction period involving the dropping and picking up of players begins at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) kickoff each Sunday which allows teams to place a player on waivers and designate a replacement (Waiver Request) until 8:00 p.m. each Tuesday. The Waiver Request transaction will be held, without being completed, until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday - at 8:00, Waiver Request transactions will be processed. If the same player is designated for pick-up by two or more teams, then the team with the worst winning percentage will be awarded the addition. Should there be a tie, then the team that has scored the fewest season-long points will get the player and, if still tied, the team with the worst myfantasyleague rating will receive the player. A first come transaction (Waiver) period then begins at 8:30 p.m. and is in effect until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday - the first come Waiver period will not change when Thursday games are played and will remain from 8:30 p.m. Tuesday until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. All transactions must be made on the BS Football League's MyFantasy League website. Fee is $6 per roster change. A dropped player becomes eligible to be picked up by another team unless he is a designated Bye Week Player.

One Bye Week Player per roster may be dropped for that week's play with a replacement added if the team has no other options at a particular position because of multiple off weeks. That player is then protected from being selected by another franchise. However, the Bye Week Player must return to the roster for the next week of play and the replacement must return to the player pool. Fee for a Bye Week transaction is $12 ($6 drop and $6 reselection), and must be specifically designated at the time of the transaction. The bye week "freeze" can only be utilized once per week for players if no other option exists in order to field a full team and can only be done from 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. If more than one player on a roster in a given week has a bye week conflict, then the owner must elect to drop the second player and pick up a replacement during the first come transaction period, or choose to insert a player on a bye week into the lineup and not earn any points or stats. A "freeze" can't be used to avoid replacing a non-bye week player who has been injured, suspended, or otherwise unable to play. To perform a "Bye Week Transaction," click on "Taxi Squad" under "My Options" at the bottom left of the myfantasyleague standings page and "demote" the player to be protected by clicking on the appropriate box before clicking on "Perform Taxi Squad Moves" to enter the transaction. Then, go back to the standings page, click on "Waivers," and add the player to be picked-up (you don't need to "Drop" any players). Click on "Perform Waivers" to complete the transaction.

In case of bye week place kicking conflict: A place kicker can be added to serve as the tiebreaker, but must be dropped with the kicker he replaced returning to the roster. The fee for a bye week tiebreaker freeze transaction is half of other freeze transactions and isn't considered as the single bye conflict freeze allowed by a team in a week.

Injury Reserve: If it is announced that a player is out for the year, a replacement must be picked up and $6 roster change fee paid before the next group of games beginning Sunday morning. A delay of game penalty equal to the roster change fee will be assessed if a replacement player isn't picked up by the following Sunday morning kickoff after the injured player is officially placed on Injury Reserve and declared out for the remainder of the season.

COVID RULE for 2021 season: If a player is sidelined temporarily due to Covid-19, as designated by a C rather than IR or injury, then that player can be protected by placement on the Taxi Squad without dropping him on waivers. A replacement player would then be selected from the free agent pool and placed on the active roster. Once the Covid affected player is again activated by the NFL, then his replacement must immediately be dropped. Fee for a Covid transaction is $3 (half of the fee for Injury Reserve).

Roster change fees are used to increase stat leader payouts at season's end.

Active Roster Active rosters must be maintained including exactly 17 players - at no time can more or fewer than that number be on any roster. Players demoted to the Taxi Squad are not counted as being on the active roster.

All transactions must be fully completed at the time they are submitted first by dropping a player into the free agent waiver pool or demoting a player to the Taxi Squad. A replacement player must immediately be added. Stashing a player by delaying his placement into the waiver pool is not permitted because it elimates the possibility of that player's acquisition by another team, or, in the case of injury status, delay the decision about which player to drop.

Game Week Scoring will be determined by performances of BSFL "starting" players in NFL contests played Thursday through Monday.

BSFL Season The season will begin Thursday, September 16 (NFL Week #2) and continue for 13 consecutive weeks through Monday, December 27 (NFL Week #15).

Game Tiebreaker
Ties resulting from scoring by starting lineups will be broken by the point total of each team's reserve place kicker. Those points, if utilized to break a tie, will count as if reserve place kickers are in lineups along with starting place kickers.

In case of bye week conflict: A place kicker can be added to serve as the tiebreaker, but must be dropped with the kicker he replaced returning to the roster. The fee for a bye week tiebreaker freeze transaction is half of other freeze transactions and isn't considered as the single bye conflict freeze allowed by a team in a week.

Tiebreaker progression: In regular season games, reserve place kickers serve as the only tiebreaker - if their point totals are the same, then the game is recorded as a tie. In playoff and bowl games when a win-loss outcome is a necessity, the reserve place kicker serves as the primary tiebreaker. If the tie persists, the reserve quarterback's points are added, and, if the tie still isn't broken, the points of the reserve receiver are included. If utilized to break a tie, stats registered by that player will count in individual and team statistical categories.

Standings Tiebreaker
If ties occur in the standings at the end of regular season play, the following progression of criteria will be used in order: 1) most total points scored in regular season games [combines offensive & defensive points scored]; if still tied 2) most wins in regular season games between teams that are tied [only used in the event that two teams remain tied]; if still tied 3) most total points scored in head-to-head games; if still tied 4) best record within the division

Stat Source NFL.com will be the official BSFL source as administered through myfantasyleague.com.
