Tenderloin Bowl XVIII -
Eddies eliminate
Sylvesters, 26-25

BUFFALO, NY – There just wasn't any stopping the Eddies in their quest for a second BSFL title - Seashrein's first since 1993. They overcame incredible odds that resulted from starting the campaign with nothing but a goose egg in the win column after three games. It took a league record tying 10 consecutive wins to secure the Tenderloin Cup. And when the chips fell in Buffalo, Randy Moss was MVP of Tenderloin Bowl XVIII, palming passes for 135 yards including a pair of post toasters. After sitting Peyton Manning for a spell down the stretch in favor of Derek Anderson, Eddie bigheads dusted-off Manning and put him back behind center in the championship game for four scoring strikes among 249 yards tossing the tater. Josh Brown booted 10 very important points 'tween the tines for the champs.

The Sylvesters were a whisker away from Tweetie, but coughed a hair ball when Carson Palmer upchucked two pick-offs among just 189 yards passing and Adrian Peterson stumbled for a measely three yards toting the turd. Kicker Matt Stover squandered the last of the Tats' nine lives by stubbing a lousy two points over the crossbar (an unsuccessful two point conversion, rather than kicking, essentially declawed the cats). Despite only 32 yards rushing by Joseph Addai, a pair of his carries were to the house, and he caught a scoreboard blinker as well. But Addai died in the 49 yard receiving crapper, a hairbreadth away from giving Haglund the cup. The Sylvesters battled, too, as Jason Witten snatched aerials for 138 yards, including one to the promised land, and Trent Cole and Shawne Merriman each pounced on a pair of passers.

Porterhouse Bowl XVIII -
Marauders muscle Bashers, 45-32

MOOSE JAW, SASK – The Marauders scorched the frozen tundra of Moose Jaw by taking out the frustration of fumbling a crack at their first BSFL title on the Spaethcadets. Tom Brady sizzled by launching flying pigskins for 399 yards including four lofts to lalaland. Manhart stuck with Kevin Jones after he was the undisputed BSFL Dud of the Marauders' championship semifinal loss, and it paid off with a pair of paydirt packs among 92 yards. Plaxico Burress was hot, too, cuddling air biscuits for 136 yards including a trey.

The Bashers counted two TD totes and a post toasting reception by Marion Barber along with 92 yards tickling bladders, including a pair to the house, by Marcus Colston to keep things interesting, at least. Jason Elam sent 11 points through the uprights, as well. But Vince Young didn't get 'er done while misfiring twice to the other guys and only completing for a paltry 121 yards.

Sirloin Bowl XVII -
Equis ex-out
Blowhards, 48-22

MULE SHOE, TX – Dryden left a mark as the BSFL's top turf team while trampling the Blowhards. LaDainian Tomlinson continued a late season surge by churning out 146 yards, including a paydirt payoff, and hauled in a zone zinger, too. Newly acquired Fred Taylor, a not so moldie-oldie, zigged and zagged for 132 yards with a lug over the invisible plane. Drew Brees connected three times for treys among 328 yards with Wes Welker and Roddy White each collecting celebration grabs among 78 and 75 yards, respectively.

When Tony Romo went off for 302 yards passing, including two to tango, Big Horn looked like a contender. And when some guy named Fred Jackson, snatched off the scrap heap by Blowhard bigheads, rambled for 115, possibilities for a dubya loomed. Patrick Kerney's trio of pancakes and Chris Cooley's catches for 93 weren't enough to keep from being exed-out, though.

Chuck Bowl XV -
Hardrockers handle
Grunts, 38-20

CHIHUAHUA, MEX – Bates mastered Oregon as Greg Jennings hauled-in 'bows for 100 yards including a scoreboard blinking grab. Earnest Graham proved to be most valuable for the Hardrockers by packing the pigsnout to the promised land twice among 61 yards and a host of others had decent games for the Hardrockers.

The pigs went a squealing when Reggie Bush's bunged-up knee kept him off the field and Anquan Boldin registered nothing but doughnut holes. Bright spots for the Grunts were Brian Westbrook, who packed the bladder for 116 yards and palmed a scoring strike, and Stephen Gostkowski, who booted ten points 'tween the tines.

Hamburger Bowl XVIII -
Chiggers coldcock
Casualties, 88-42

HUMPTULIPS, WA – Chatham unleashed a relentless attack in sweeping the Hamburger Series by winning the second game, 43-14. It really wasn't much of a contest as Matt Hasselbeck uncorked four scoring genies in a bottle among 272 yards. Brandon Marshall handled a pair of zone zingers among 115 yards and Ryan Grant dashed for 156 including one penetration of the invisible plane.

Fifth Street bigheads proved to be their own worst enemy by acquiring and inserting injured Marc Bulger into the starting lineup. All he did was play with himself on the sideline. If it hadn't been for three passer plants by Elvis Dumervil, 124 yards rushing by Willie Parker, and Andre Johnson's scoring snatch among 82 yards, the Chiggers may have lapped the Street Walkers.
