Heidi Dimmitt
CLASS of 2005 Track and Cross-country ATHLETE
A superb hurdler who could really 'fly', Heidi set several school records in the 300 hurdles as well as in relay events. As a senior, she won the 300 hurdles "state championship" while beating her own WHS record mark after breaking the tape in 43.4 seconds. Heidi was a two-time "regional champion" and three-time "district champion" to earn a trio of "All-Big Nine" berths as 300 hurdler. She was also a team captain.

Primarily using cross-country as a conditioning activity, Heidi was a three-year harrier and served as captain of the squad her senior year. She earned a total of six varsity letters and was a finalist for "NCW Sports Awards High School Female Athlete of the Year."

Heidi went on to an outstanding athletic career with the Western Washington track team. She set the WWU school record in the 400 hurdles at 1:00.31, won three consecutive Great Northwest Athletic Conference titles in that event, and finished as high as fourth at the NCAA-II national championships. Heidi was a two-time "NCAA-II All-American" and earned four "All-GNAC" berths. She was a three-time finalist for "NCW College Female Athlete of the Year."
